Mentoring Relationships are an essential part
of the “Girls Inc. Experience”

VOLUNTEER

Become a program volunteer and inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold!

As a classroom volunteer for Girls Inc. of Los Angeles, you will support program instructors with meaningful activities and structured lessons from our core tenets Strong, Smart and Bold, after school. Volunteers will engage and support elementary and middle school students (grades 1-8).

Girls Inc. fosters a pro-girl environment that encourages girls to be their authentic selves in a socially and emotionally safe environment. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to help equip girls with confidence and skill sets to navigate the world. Make a difference by empowering girls to bolster their inherent strengths as they explore learning opportunities accessible through our program and partnerships.

What is the schedule like? Classroom volunteers support instructors with weekly activities once or twice a week from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, 2 to 3 hours a day at one of our partnering LAUSD locations in West and South Los Angeles.

What will I do as a classroom volunteer?

  • Help girls with activities and answer their questions.

  • Participate in classroom discussions and outdoor activities.

  • Be a positive role model
