A few of our Middle School girls and staff had the chance to greet VP Kamala Harris upon her arrival at LAX in January. Seeing such powerful representation was an empowering moment for our girls.
Our vision is to inspire all girls to be
strong, smart and bold.
We are committed to empowering the girls of Los Angeles to tap into their strengths and amplify their talents, transcending stereotypes and systemic barriers to become leaders of today and tomorrow.
Despite being the culture capital of the world, LA is experiencing rising inequality, exacerbated by COVID. Far too many LA girls of color lack resources, access to career pathways and opportunities, limiting their ability to thrive.
We equip girls to defy limitations and stereotypes.
Our focus is on helping girls rise through pro-girl results-oriented programs, events and advocacy.
Girls Inc. has championed girls for 158 years, building self-esteem, developing life skills and enabling academic achievement.
By 5th grade, girls are half as active as boys in physical activities, leading to increased risk of long-term negative health impacts.
Post Girls Inc. programming, 80% of girls report they believe they can be good at STEM.
